Search Engines
Your site will be auto submitting to the search engines. It will be indexed and found by the vast majority of the web, however to be constantly number one is impossible. Some companies specialise in this area and packages start from £500 per year for this service. If you require a better search listing, you should seek the services of one of these companies, however I can amend your site that will help (charges will apply for this work).
I have seen companies charging less?
Your site is made to a very high standard with the aim to produce a site that is cross browser friendly and will be as future proof as possible. If you have been looking at other companies to make your site, it is a good idea to test some of their sites by going to http://validator.w3.org/ for code quality, and Cynthia Says to test for Accessibility. These will give you an idea of the competency of the design company but it is still no guarantee of a high accessibility level. Your site also needs to meet usability and be search engine friendly. We design to a minimum level of 508 and html 4 transitional and typically aim as close to AAA as possible.
To make a site pass code and accessibility standards, be search engine friendly and look good in all browsers, this takes a lot of time and needs to be done by someone who has a good understanding of website construction.
